I think a safe bet is that her family is treating her like shit because there is long history there of shitty parenting and a daughter with issues, acting out... not because she is a stripper. "stripper" just becomes a convenient angle of attack and most likely, she's done plenty to fuel the fire herself.
Stripping is about control and power over a man. A woman only wants to feel that power and control over a man if she's been made to feel powerless by a man... which typically means abuse in some form..
