I just saw it tonight (we dcided to forgo seeing Cook E Jarr and take in "The Ring". I'm a huge fan of the original and this version was damn good...if not as good as the Japanese version....while not as creepy as the original (Sadaka is MUCh creepier than Sumara). I liked it because it was good old fashioned atmospheric horror...no bullshit cgi monsters or bad acting...my only porblem was with the PG13 rating fucking high school kids packed the theater and wouldn't shut the fuck up through the whole movie...I'm so glad this theater cards for R-rated movies so at least I can watch those in peace....
if you like atmospheric horro, check it out, but if you're looking for some bullshit piece of shit like "Scream" or "I Know What You Did Last Summer", this movie isn't for you....
or just seek out the original Japanese version....with a story that good and creepiness that bad, you need to be able to read the subtitles........Comment
