I went there a year or so ago.. and stayed at the Ritz Carlton.. its very close to the airport.. but has its own private beach... and about a ten minute cab ride to downtown, old forts.. and historical San Juan... But about a 45 min to an hour out to the rain forests.. snorkeling etc..
if I were to go back i'd prolly stay out at the Wyndham el conquistador.. (I'm pretty sure that is the name) its right next to the rain forrest, snorkeling.. etc... and i'm more into that kind of stuff when on beach vacations...
a must do is the "biolumenescence nighttime kayaking" tour through the mangroves...
and an excellent restaurant downtown located in a museum called "Pikayo"
