Is anyone here a member of toastmasters?

I'm actually giving a speech this Saturday morning on "the devaluation of intellectual property."

Anyone have any groups they go to on a regular basis like this?

Don't sweat it, Meta. Toastmasters has been a joke for a while now, there won't be any worthwhile people there. In fact, they'll probably all be so stupid that they'd think Paul Markham walls of text are gold.

No offense to you, OP, just to Toastmasters in general.

Being a highbrow is fine, edge, but you should be reserved on stereotyping the groups.
It's good practice on talking to a general audience. He who elucidates materials to masses has the potential to make some $$$.

            Whatever though.

Have a nice night, I'm going to finish my rounds at the bar before I head home.

It's nothing against you ... It's the annoyance of having been roped into giving talks to that group in a number of cities, only to be looking out at a room full of mouth-breathers.
