yes because the government is gonna do anything to help porn.
you see google has a basic monopoly with a site called you know youtube. what makes you think the cronies at google are going to allow anykind of bad press with the word "tube" in it. it is not happening.
Tube sites will always exist. whether content is licensed or not, there will always be long clips/full length videos online. This is 2012. It's what users want, It's what users are looking for, it's where the traffic will always go.
. Yes, fewer illegal immigrants working equates to more job opportunities for American citizens.
tubes are not a threat anymore next to this file sharing sites, I hope they takem down all of them
Yes, with filehosts I was able to get JDownloader and pull in links and literally download over 100GB a day. I'm against it but it's hard not to fall into the trap as an affiliate looking for content to customize for max conversion as some programs don't do a very good job.
All of us might be able to breath a sigh of relief now.
We can all rest assured the file sharing sites aren't being taken down because of the porn they are hosting. As long as adult tubes don't put mainstream movies, tv shows, or music on their sites they are free to do business as usual.
I do not really think uncle Sam is going to crack down on xhamster
But tubes are not that much of a threat anyway - less sites, less updates, much easier to control. And of course their quality is not the best - enough for the average Joe probably, but at least we can win back some of those surfers who frequented boards because they wanted original quality.

They could. Especially if there are ever high profile cases of CP being found there. Many people didn't think anything would ever happen to Mega Upload and look what happened. They were buying out mainstream stars and trying to look legit when this happened to them.
You don't like my posts? Put me on ignore or fuck right off. I'll say what I want.
Why does everyone keep saying the government doesn't care about porn? they may not tell the public anything but, they have to care about the billions of dollars a year porn makes and governments share of taxes!
Tube sites aren't going anywhere. Most of the large sponsors are woring hand-in-hand, providing content and making a ton on the big tubes.
People here still can't grasp that you can sell a membership on a tube site with full length videos. I have no problem with them believing that. It keeps ad rates down for those that can monetize that traffic.

motherless would disagree with you
for every shitty "pay site" with 10 videos and 100 pics you "create" there are thousands of videos being uploaded to tubes daily, places like xvideos, xhamster, motherless are raping you guys harder than megaupload EVER did.
so crazy see people witchburning technology like file sharing, yet tubes are giving away trillions of gigs everyday LOL
meanwhile, gfyers are figuring out which hollywood dvd they want to copy tonight.....
or which version of photoshop they want to put on their new laptop, or which mp3s they have loaded on their players

just took a look at one of the big "sharing" forums, and they are saying to each other that there is no need to panic, that they have dealt with links being down continually forever, and that there will always be hosts somewhere, and are busy replacing the down links already so that most of the active topics are live again already

the amount of copywritten intellectual property used in avatars in this thread/on gfy is astounding.
While I agree a professional forum would benefit from custom made avatars, it really is a perfect example of non profit fair use to grab an image from somewhere as avatar, and it really doesn't compare with running a pirate website for profit even if it was copyright infringement.

simple as this, if i paid to have a toon done and you steal and pout in avatar, its infringement, no fair use about it.
ive seen Chuck Schultz' Snoopy used in paid top ads on GFY.
this is infringement as its finest. especially when used commercially......
ps i dont care about avatars or what people put in them, just find it funny people sitting around talking about copyright infringement when its all around them...
or which version of photoshop they want to put on their new laptop, or which mp3s they have loaded on their players
or my favorite,... FONTS! font sites make a lot off stolen work.
as someone who has designed fonts, and has spent a good amount of money buying legal fonts and font discs, i would be willing to bet, almost every single person on gfy has a stolen font used in their designs LOL
ya know,... just saying,... an artist created the body of work (font) then it was used without consent or payment commercially. LOL
most think just because fonts are free online, that they are not protected, in fact, most people have always thought fonts are free, well they are not, we pay for them so you can download them for free.... or my favorite, when someone buys a design and they think I can give them the font I used so they can use it on their computer LOLOLOL
yeah gfy is full of this type of double standard... im just pointing it out.
Tube sites? HAHAHAHAHA. The people who run file sharing and tube sites laugh at adult content copyright holders. They blatantly do it and profit off it without being afraid of the consequences because 99.9% of this industry doesn't do a damn thing beyond typing out a 30second DMCA notice.
They SELL advertising on this forum FFS. Piracy and the inability for anyone to do anything about it has been a joke, now there is no going back.
Everyone has 'adapted to survive' and fucking sites like porn.com just give away full length scenes they own rights to, for free.
If anything, we might see an increase of file sharing sites that cater to 'only adult content' or something along those lines.
There's money to be made, obviously, but if you're under the impression that tube sites or a couple file sharing sites being taken down will reverse your sales to what they used to be, you're in for a shocker.
The idiots in the music industry are in for one too, more people aren't going to go to the mall and buy CDs now. I'm glad they finally decided to do something about it, but it's not going to significantly change any of our bottom lines.

I am astonished that motherless has survived for so long. It seems less well known compared to most of the others but some of the videos it hosts have been more than enough to shut down even the most protected of sites.

While people were busy bitching about tube sites, the file sharing sites took over all the SEO placements for webmasters who were making actual SALES to adult sites, and tanked them. NOTHING TO DO WITH TUBE SITES.
More proof that most of the people bitching has no business to actually bitch about or lose.... c'est gfy

If CP is found and there will be proven high profile cases, I agree tubes might take a huge hit too. But it's not on copyright grounds. Not that it matters much if they're closed or forced to accept uploads from trusted sources only and keep their 2257 shit together; but honestly I do not see that happening, I have to check tubes regularly to see if our new stolen stuff is posted and it is very rare that I see something where a girl might look like she's below 18. They seem to take no chances.
yeah gfy is full of this type of double standard... im just pointing it out.
It's been pointed out by many times, by different people, in many different threads. Either the thread dies, or the point is ignored completely. It doesn't matter who points out the double standard.
Most of the same people who bitch the loudest about theft, tubes, and so forth could be found in simple search on GFY/forums bragging about how they have not paid for music in 10 years. Or if you/they want something to just go grab some movie/game/program/script off of a torrent or alike when the subject comes up.
But when it comes to THEIR design/content/website/whatever being stolen.... oh hell NO! Stop the presses. Get out the yard arm. Sue them into the stone age, etc. and so forth. Theft only seems to matter when it is THEIR stuff being stolen.

We all live in the same reality, and the Internet has blurred peoples understanding of ownership with freeware, shareware, and the ease of which material is out there.
Major players like Google, for their own profit have exploited this.
We put a lot of pictures up and don't mind that they go out into the world, our movies because of the high cost we would like to make an income and pay our models and web designer etc.
Getting the large players to understand that content has to be paid for will be the first step, then others can fall in line.
