The attack is still underway, The Hun and I have been working together to shut down some theives, and I think this is a retalitory attack.

I haven't been able to bin down exactly where on his page the code is though.

A. GFY is in our own datacenter.

B. It doesn't effect anything else on our network, the server GFY is on can take a couple million hits a day, but it's the VBulletin scripts that can't. Mike's filter works great as you can see, but it has to deny 100,000 connections an hour!

Like i said... He has some sort of thing that tracks the first 10 ip's. Then after that all the ip's will be redirected to the url of his choice. You will find nothing in his source.

If it's in your own datacenter why not block it in the router instead
of having a server to deal with it......? this can't be too hard to stop.

I had a bunch of these galleries slip past me on my tgp, he does not use drawnsex to post, he uses several different nameservers and 50+ domains to post with and his galleries are top notch

Make people pay to submit galleries. Less cheaters.

I did NOT know how much iam addicated to this place. SHIT Couldnt get on since I got up fucked my whole day up... HOLY shit I need to find where I left my life and go back and beg it to come back home.

There was a discussion about paying for submissions and such a while back here on the GFY. I see one big problem with it that made me decide not to go through with it: it would create an obligation. I think when people pay to be able to submit that they'd be pissed off if I would decline their gallery 'cause I didn't think it was good enough. I could put this all in the rules and everything, but if I'd decline it money would be wasted.

The only way to clear that problem would be to accept the galleries first and then let the payment decide if an accepted gallery would indeed be listed or not. Problem with that is that if a cheater would know the submission would be placed he'd pay some money for it to let it go through. The fees wouldn't be too hight. I will have payment information for a submitter like that, that's true... 'cause ways of payment are harder to come by than IP-addresses...

I realise the whole IMG-Source thing (which is roughly what I did, it works a little differently) could take down people that are 'merely' on the same server with another virtual account. In this particular case that wasn't how it was. But I used this trick before. This is all about people that do not want to listen and fail to show any respect for me, my site and my rules (which I can set on my own site I think). It is a 'last resort'... well, not truely, there's some other tricks I have up my sleeve, but I never had to use those yet, it will be a lot of fun finding out if they would work.

I'm pretty sure the kid who runs Drawnsex reads this as well, so I won't go into detail. But don't worry, he'll be the first to know anyway ;-).

I had to make excuses to hosts and stuff before. They all don't like the results of the actions taken, but most of 'em respect the reason I did it. The host is warned about any violations or cheats someone is pulling. The img source is only used if this host fails to even give so much as a reply...

It's a very shady thing to do, I realise that 100%. But would you do nothing if people disrespect any of your rules and 'cause hundreds of your visitors to be caught in a site stuffed with rape pictures and dialer programs?

In this case I wrote online-dialer, which is the company drawnsex.com is sending traffic to. Not even a single reply from them. Next time a gallery sneaks through I might have to pull this very stunt I did here directly on the host. Or I might want to find a better way first ;-)

Anyway, this whole cheating business every now and then pisses me off so much that I spend a lot of time trying to get these people down. My visitors get pissed off 'cause of drawnsex and I will do just about everything to keep my visitors happy. I'm sure this drawnsex kid does this to pretty much all link-sites out there. He goes by a lot of domains and a lot of names.

Cheaters do cause a lot of work. I blacklisted the whole of Cogent simply 'cause they were a haven for mostly Russian webmasters who cheated on every possible way. And they had accounts on pretty much all cogent's boxes. Blacklisting a domain-name wouldn't work. A couple of bucks buys you a new domain. It's not that webmasters are too lazy to blacklist only the cheaters instead of the entire domain, it's just almost impossible to filter out the rotten apples completely without blacklisting the whole IP-range. Another example of the good having to suffer for the bad. Unfortunately that's how things start to be...

Hun, please make payed submissions.

1. Lots of bullshit posters will be eliminated
2. Quality would skyrocket
3. Honest webmasters will benefit
4. There will be much less cheaters

I hear ya. I usually get listed at thehun. But only about 2, maybe 3 galleries per month. I follow the rules and submit every 4-5 days only. Never cheated, never will. (Thanks btw!)

The reason a guy like that asshole gets listed all the time is he is probably a good designer of galleries and he is buying new fresh content to build galleries with. When a sponsor lists new content, he buys, builds and submits. Then cheats like the rat asshole he is.

Not to mention it is illegal...This isn't all about people that don't want to listen...Its about you thinking you can just use your traffic to take down entire servers because they didn't respect you...What about all the users who didn't even fucken know you? I doubt they would respect you after you caused their site to go down for no fucken reason....

qt, please read the posts I made here. The decision is not as easily made as you imply here. But would you let your hard work taken down by someone who is only out to make a quick buck regardless how it's done? I don't just attack everybody I don't like, and actions like this are taken against people that redirect people straight to dialers, rape sites and/or child pornography. Is someone ads a console once his gallery is listed will be written, removed and blacklisted (in that order), but will not be harassed any more. This person in particular was already blacklisted with 40 of domains, written numerous times. Nothing helped. Like I said, it's a last resort. And I can use the tool 'cause I have the power, indeed, but to imply I act like God for using it in very rare occasions... sounds a bit overdone to me

Sucks indeed... but where is there left to do? To Cogent I'm just some guy with a pretty story. If they'd take down cheater's sites I would put 'em back up in no time. There's quite a few cheaters on smutserver, but as soon as I write 'em the complete site is gone. That means all listings of that cheater are invalid, including the ones on other link-sites. That means a lot of work down the drain and usually the end of the cheater cheating...

I don't want to put too many limitations on who can submit and who can't. Seems there won't be any choices left through... And all 'cause of one or two cheaters, 'cause I'm really not talking about a lot more of those...

O quiet, I know... and I don't mind baring the concequences of that. So far it solved a lot of things for me... Most cheaters don't have the resources to crawl back up from a blow like this. I probably get 1/100 the submissions that you do, and yet find 75-85% of the galleries cheaters or multi submitters (diff domains - same guys)

They must be using a script or something to mass reproduce and submit, but the viruses that they load on the pages, scripts etc are a real big pain

Hun's not to blaim here, it's drawnsex.com that is at fault. That traffic the hun sent to drawnsex technically was then the property of drawnsex.com - even if it was meant to shut him down by overloading his server.
Once the hun's traffic (even if it was only an image pull) hit drawnsex's server drawnsex.com sent it to GFY to fuck up GFY. Drawnsex is at fault, not the hun.

You can only be held accountable for the actions you are responsible for - not for what others do.

Blaiming the hun for this is no different than blaiming Sears for selling OJ a kitchen knife.
