It?s about time I share my story with the world...

People are constantly being wronged by many different people. Whether it is being overcharged a few cents at the store or getting overcharged at a movie, wrong is wrong. Some of these simple ?wrongs? can be corrected by a simple apology. Others can be corrected with a deep sincere apology, one that comes from the heart. Others, however, take more ? much more.

When people feel they have been wronged they get angry. Some even choose to get even, sometimes going as far as murdering the person that has wronged them. We see these news stories on TV all the time. Children are no exception to this phenomenon. All one has to do is pick up the daily paper to see some horrific act one child has done to another out of being wronged.

Other children don?t know they have been wronged until later in life, usually around their teens. Sometimes they don?t even realize they have been wronged until adulthood. Thankfully most can control their emotions and forgive those who have wronged them. If this was not the case, the streets would be stained in blood for everyone has wronged someone in their lifetime.

I?ve been wronged before. I?ll be wronged again. But a specific wrong that has always stuck with me was when I was wronged by something that I loved more than life itself, something that gave me hope in a hopeless world. I grew up in a small town of only a few hundred people and I never though I?d have to go through what I went through. I was wronged by a book.

You see, when I was but five years old I was brutally raped by a book. Not just any book mind you, but a copy of Jules Verne?s, ?Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea?. It?s almost funny when I think back on it ? so much pain at once that it?s as if I was feeling none, my brain overloaded with neuron blasts screaming PAIN, PAIN, PAIN! More than anything I was scared. How could this happen to me?

Your parents always tell you that there are no monsters in this world. They lie to your fucking face is what they do. Being a child of just five I knew not of the horrors of the world. I foolishly believed my parents and I really thought that books would lead to my salvation. Instead, a book took my anal virginity, brutally raping me for over an hour. I was used as an example in Sunday school because of this.

When I was six years old, in Sunday school, the teachers told the students that if they did not follow the Ten Commandments and accept Jesus Christ as their savor, then they would suffer eternal damnation, burning in the pits of Hell. They continued and joyfully announced that the pain I suffered from me getting anally raped was but a taste of the pain that awaited those who disobeyed God. Terror struck the children that day. Terror struck me that day. That day, I was wronged again.

Only I didn?t know I had been wronged. Can you imagine it? Imagine a six year old who only one year prior had suffered such an ordeal, only to be frightened to new heights by a pain beyond that of being ass raped by a book? It scared me into religion, into believing something that I wasn?t ready to believe in. This caused me to actually hate religion and dare I say hate God after I realized how I was victimized. I blamed God. I blamed the church. I blamed myself. It took me a long time to forgive and actually get to know God the way I should have been introduced to God, the proper way, through having sex with cross-shaped dildos with lots of lube.

Being wronged is not an easy thing to get over and nor should it be. When people wrong you, let them know. Tell them that they have wronged you and explain to them as to why you feel this way. It won?t stop all of the wrongdoing, but it can help repair some of the damage done. Give people a chance ? you?ll get wronged now and then but at least you can say you tried to better yourself in the process. If you decide to give people a chance, then you yourself must also be as willing to take a chance and let others try and give you a chance. And who knows; you may just be the one to right a wrong today.
