lol...okay, let's do this point by point.

The Axis of Evil. I agree, not the wisest thing to say and it certainly raised the tension level that already existed. However, it would be disengenous to say that these countries didn't have prior agenda before Bush mumbled those stupid words. Do I really have to go into the history of all three countries or can I just take it at face value you'll agree on this point?

Again, I don't agree with the speech, I thought it was incredibly stupid, but there is a prior track record for all three countries mentioned, it's not like they were really great guys until Bush opened his stupid mouth.

No other country on this planet messed with these three countries - only Old George.
Again, that's not entirely true. These countries do have a history, it can easily be looked up, and I'm not going to spend too much time touching on why they would be group in as "Evil"...but again...I agree, it was a stupid speech.

Bottom line... no country has the right to assume any moral stance over another and mess in that other countries business.
A question for you on this point: How do you feel about outside intervention with Yugoslavia then? Ethnic cleansing was occurring, but technically it was a domestic issue. Should other countries have ignored that? Should we have ignored Rwanda like we did?

No country, irrespective of it's "hardware" can trollop over the globe instigating wars, threatening, boycotting and issuing sanctions without losing friends - often good one's - and without paying a price for the seed it sows.
I agree with that. See, I'm a strict isolationist, I don't believe the U.S. should extend itself into these situations. It's decidedly a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation though. If tomorrow the U.S. returned to its isolationist policy other countries would criticize the U.S. inactivity. Doubt it? Look at WWI. Basically after the war there was the League of Nations, the U.S. never joined and the LoN pretty much crumbled. The exact same thing would happen if the US pulled out of the UN...I'd give the UN two years before it completely closed...I mean the UN is pretty useless as is, but that's a topic for another time.

Only me, but I no longer believe anything the US Admin utters - they are persistant liars and decievers, not only to the international community, but their own citizens. Tis also my opinion that the political persuasion they claim to represent is a total falsehood and a hijacking of a political party along with any "righteous cause" they can lay their hands on (religion etc). In effect, an Adminstration of Abuse.
I certainly don't believe in the Bush administration, but that doesn't make me lose faith in the whole system of government. I didn't vote for Bush, I voted for Nader and then Kerry. Our government system works, but people have to participate in order to make it work. If all the people that complained about Bush regularly went to vote, he would have never been elected a second term. For that matter we probably wouldn't have had such hideous Democrats like Gore & Kerry if more people voted in the primaries.

I'd look forward to the day the US gets back *any* form of honorable government - irrespective of politics - and managed by people with a degree of integrity and basic honesty who get back the credibility lost by the current Administration of Abuse.
Won't be long
