Yep. Unless the powerband is very narrow, which is unlikely with a (big) US engine and a supercharger (I assume, since R asked about them), four gears would be plenty. Several have confirmed that with the comments about first and I would guess that 6th is effectively an overdrive.
BTW what did you want to know about superchargers? Basically they do the same job as turbochargers - pump more air/gas into the engine - with the difference that they are (belt) driven by the engine and not the exhaust. That's slightly less efficient, but on the plus side they start working as soon as the engine is running, whereas turbochargers don't kick in until they hit whatever rev range they were designed for. Although modern turbochargers are improved a lot, some still suffer lag when you put your foot down. Not a problem with a supercharger.
