It is also not helpful, either to the world at large or the people of North Korea, to be persistantly threatened by the US trying to play hardball with an oppressive leadership while Amnesty International also has extensive reports and evidence of torture by the US. Some call that a very big mouth with plenty hypocracy stuffing it.
True.. who knows, but doubt even NK will be the instigator of nuclear weapons launching - why should they? They would be on a suicide mission.

The U.S. is playing hardball with N. Korea? Actually we've pretty much ignored the N. Korean threat completely. The number of troops in the DMZ have been reduced and will continue to be reduced. Not the wisest move, but that idiot Bush charted that course.
Another thing and I'll repeat what I said in my first post as you seemed to latch on to the first part and ignore the second part. There's no way the U.S. would attack N. Korea under any circumstance unless it was absolutely forced to. There's a few reasons for this...1. N. Korea has a huge army and there's no way that the combined S. Korea / U.S. forces in the DMZ could stop it. 2. Exactly how big do you think the U.S. Military is? Right now we're spread thin, no way could we handle another war going on with our troops in Iraq / Afghanistan.
Now, you and your compatriot can chortle and say "brainwashed" and be dismissive of reporting / reports of N. Korea. I'm sure you're right and I'm sure you've read plenty of websites that state what a cool guy Kim Jong-il is and that he's just a misunderstood little dictator. Silly me for thinking otherwise
Also, you can read this thread that I posted earlier today:

If you notice my second post I use an Amnesty International source to criticize the NYC police department. As you can see the post was made earlier today...so please realize I'm completely aware of what Amnesty International says on a number of topics.
Now, I suggest you read what they have to say on N. Korea...is it reason for any country to get involved? No, and I didn't say that in my first post eventhough in your response you implied that I did. All I did say was that those human rights violations makes it understandable why people would be nervous if N. Korea got the nuke.
