true. longevity is not related to vegetarianisn per se.

however a diet low in saturated fat and low cholesterol is.

and vegetarians generally have a lower BMI.

however, the philosophical vegetarian diet is tough to get all the protein you need without careful work.

in areas of the world where people eat less (red) meat lifespans are now higher than USA, even though USA has superior medical facilities to prolong life.

that should tell you something. the industrialized world is getting too fuckin' fat.

bad for your health. eat right, exercise, try to use less salt, you will feel better, look better, be lighter on your feet, have more energy, make more money, bang more beaver.

and try to eat more fruits and vegetables, and eschew manufactured or "processed" foods.
