Luckily, they're not illegal around here. I live out on the water, but as you cross the bridge to come out to our neighborhood, there are two gigantic fireworks trailers set up and they've been selling the hell out of them for the last couple of weeks.
My next door neighbor does a huge thing out on his pier every year and usually spends about 5k on his fireworks. I talked to him this morning and he's dropped 8k this year. He's doing them tonight instead of Tuesday night because he has to be out of town for a sick family member, which actually works out better because our city does another one out on the water on the Fourth and we usually wait until it's over and everyone gets back, for him to do his.
Our city actually hires some company to come in and do it and they coordinate the fireworks to music. You tune in to the local radio station and the fireworks match the music. I'm kind of excited because I love fireworks.
