Whether he should of been sent off or not is irrelevant. The facts are the best English team, on paper, struggled all the way through the tournament.
We had one striker who has never played for his club side or in the top flight, never used.
We had three other strikers, two with suspect fitness, one went to Germany unable to start the tournament. And one forward who has never shone for England or scored a lot of goals.
We continued to play midfield players who were clearly not performing, when eventually one comes the performance improved.
We failed to beat Portugal who are the weakest of the last 4 and far weaker than England.
So who is to blame?
