working for a company doesn't mean you have to send em all your traffic too.

when you worked for s4c, did you send traffic elsewhere?

when i was working for s4c did i send all my webcam traffic to s4c.. sure. did i send 1 click to Lars or epic cams? no.

i'd be surprised to see a clause like that. an affiliate rep's job is to attract affiliates, not to promote the program's sites on his own. what an affiliate rep does on his own sites in his own time should be his own business.

I know every dating program has sent traffic to other dating programs. To test the waters of competeitors.. Even Main steam dating sites you can buy ad space and they allow other dating sites to Advertise.. Example

Facethejury.com If you look on their main page they have other dating sites as well.

Knowing ones competition is a good gauge as to how your company is doing. Most webmasters have traffic of all sorts...Even affiliate reps.

If 1 site with similar content converts better, it's good to see why, and how to tweak your personal program to get those conversions.

Unless it's seen as a direct Conflict Of Interest in his program's eyes, I see nothing wrong with it.

There's nothing wrong with him promoting anyone else he wants to. It helps him be a better rep since he knows how to convert traffic the best and when a webmaster says I convert at 1:100 at another company he can say yeah so do I and really know what he is talking about.

Would I like him to only send to DG, sure...

I don't think this is too uncommon....

I think it's good that company reps test traffic on their competitors, so they know how they convert and what they have to go up against

I don't think any programs would really have a problem with it, unless you are promoting the competition on boards, etc...

For example, if KMR tries some traffic out with AAC, it's no big deal. But if he starts telling people "Yeah, I work for DG but AAC converts way better! Signup under me there", THEN it's a problem (well unless DG don't care, but I'll assume they would!).
