I realy wish best of luck to all of us bro!
another good example: if it's good content, why are you selling it for 6 bucks a set??? why not make a nice contentshop and promote it?
i know - cause you guys all live from month to month with no money for the next rent or the next filling at the gas station.
go on and ruin the market, you're doing a good job
I get your point, but really the market is ruined by the lack of good content: not a lack of sharp pics, pics which aren't lit properly or color balanced, etc. There's plenty of them. But content that makes you sit up and take notice and you know would have surfers doing the same.
When content comes down to just something to fill a page and it really doesn't matter whether you buy from this source or that, you are going to buy from the cheapest. I got so fed up of wasting hours sifting through one mundane set after another, I gave up buying content at all about 5 years ago, even though I much preferred what I did then to simply chasing traffic.
OK, guilty of buying cheap content on occasion. For the the webmaster starting out or trying to claw his/her way up, the "cheap" content provides a means!
Besides it is prolly a niche onto itself. I'm sure there are plenty of surfers whacking to those $10 and $15 dollar purchases.
Got to start somewhere and then move up. How many new sites have the $ to invest in exclusive art even if they wanted to.
Aaron is prolly still to expensive for me. The other option is to shoot it yourself. You still have to pay the models and all the other shit to deal with like contracts and 2257. Plus you may not have the talent of a Paul or Aaron. Wonder if they mind having their names in the same sentence?
Ruin the market or make a market for quality work? So you give your customers the best and they pay top dollar and stick around awhile....
I see a lot of quality work in addition to the "crap" refered to in the thread.
of course there is some truth in that. our stuff is not too expensive, but it's not cheap either. i think it's well worth the money. but: those cheap blowouts let people, that are not in the biz for ages, think that content has to be cheap and is bought in "blowout package deals". i had to argue with people why we are charging $30 for a picture set when they get content elsewhere for 10% of that (or even less). and then it takes me hours to explain - i even tell them to buy both and see themselves what converts better for them. i'm just sick of arguing with people because others create the image that content is something you just somehow need, have to get cheap and quality does not matter.

you know - we do both, exclusive and non-exclusive. but because of that i know what hard work it is to produce it. and that's why i don't give it away for cheap

thanks for reading
Cheap content usually grows expensive once the cheap content provider gets its place on the market.
I have'nt seen anyone selling cheap stuff for more than few months, 'cause there's no progress for the business model. You are to be a great marketer to develop it - but if you are, you can sell it for more
Demand drives supply, people always want it cheaper, so the market will always tend to the price decrease.
Now to the problem. An exogenous shock, f.ex caused by - killed crap content producers, earthquakes, further US content regulations - can fix all your problems

FYI i had a husband hire a photog to take lots of sexy pin-up type pics, he's gone and $26,000 lighter, from the cost of all the pics and negatives. anyhow, i'm just giving the store a shot, believe me dear, my content is original. it may not be dirty enough though, you know what they say, one man's junk lol well i'm crossing my fingers

some of the stuff there looks really great. difficult for porn sites, but you should try and sell some of those to mainstream picture agencies. pics like this can do well there:
