They have. It's been appealed and has been attempted in many different ways. All were shot down. No one has agreed in a legally binding sense with that finding OR what her wishes were according to her husband and friends. The way I see it is that a court with access to ALL of the evidence has already made it's decission with a far more critical eye than any of us ever could.
Do courts make bad decissions sometimes? Absolutely. In this case it's been reviewed time and time again by higher/other courts.
Even if the husband had other motives for wanting to see her dead you have to assume that multiple judges could not. They don't benefit in any way from this woman's death..Comment

I only want the poor woman's wishes carried out. I can put myself in that place and I don't want to be there. I look at the law, the rulings in courts of law and the various other circumstances and its the right thing to do. Bottom line is that if that was her wish as the courts have found they should be carried out. No one has the right to force someone to live if they don't want to. I couldn't really care less about anything other than her rights as expressed by her legal guardian and friends. Look, the family has repeatedly presented their arguments to every court that would listen. There's nothing new for them to say, every stone has been unturned. They've argued until they are blue in the face and every court and every judge has denied their request.
If it was an inmate, they would be on their way to the gas chamber. So if you want to compare with those on death row, fine, in either case those trying to keep the person alive have lost. In fact, it shows a flaw in the judicial system that anyone can keep appealing and wasting tax payers money for an argument they've lost.
