Get back to basics and you are right. Although then it gets kind of tricky to talk about the Republicans selling out to anyone, because their core constituency has always been the wealthy and corporate America.
But they are both guilty of wearing less than honest public faces. How many generations of Americans have been promised better education? How many governments of both parties have pursued the exact same policy in the Middle East? Etc.
That out of the way, you might try reading my post again. Nowhere in it did I say anything remotely related to your reply. I ventured the opinion that something is wrong when we spend huge sums of money, devote thousands of column inches and hundreds of hours of airtime to a political process, which for the past 50-odd years has amounted to giving both parties turns in the White House, according to the mood of the so-called "swing voters".
