    YARGH! Maybe yer boat can't enter port because of some permission problems. Check yer CHMOD?

                YARGH! Didn't you say you were trying to upload a file? If you're just copyin' then it may be that the file is set to read only, or something. Is this *nix. or Win?

                  Hmm how odd...i tried to open the file im trying to upx and it also gives me a permission denied..its an exe. I also cannot open it because if have no permission to open the file.

                    YARGH! That be strange. Try refreshing the folder (f5) and see if the file is really there. if not right click, and hit properties to check if it's read only.

                                    cacls your.exe if it's not a permissions issue then check that the file isn't in use. Or use the output switch -o to leave the original intacted and create a new compressed copy.
