We are already outsourcing for the cheapest possible. That's why the Walmart style retail is able to be as huge as it is and allows people who otherwise would be considered below the poverty level to live comfortably. If those countries suddenly stopped supplying cheap goods and we had to produce everything domestically the standard of living has not kept up with what that increase would be and the results would be true poverty for many now considered middle-class. America has been steered to the point where it can't
afford "made in the USA".
