anyplace could get into the music industry if they so desired. it's a big industry but it's not an industry with huge up front expenses. look at the number of performers who set up their own record labels after only a brief success.

if you set aside the typical rhetoric about the US sticking it's nose into areas where it doesn't belong, this is no different than going after any other country that supports or tolerates abuse of property rights. ie china with unlicensed copies of microsoft products etc. if their government allows our citizens to be victimized by this kind of theft then that government shouldn't expect ours to be on good terms with them. it's not that hard to understand is it?
