    Why not just give Terry Shiavo a lethal injection?

    If the courts have ordered her death wouldn't it be more humane to give her an injection and let her go quickly rather than starve and dehydrate for 2 weeks or more? If she was completely comatose it might be one thing, but can anyone say for sure what she is actually feeling?

      because she's not a sentenced to death criminal ?

      removing life support = she dies on her own.
      lethal injection = murder.

          Well that sounds bass ackwards that a convicted murderer would get to just quietly and quickly drift off while Terry Shiavo will be slowly poisoned from the inside out and organs shut down. Lethal levels of morphine would be 1000X more humane.
