ok i see alot of ppl make this more complicated then it really is. Nowadays we say to the country i live:

HOLLAND or THE NETHERLANDS. These are 1 and the same, forget about that weird ass region talk that the netherlands also are aruba, curacao and bonaire: Nobody says that, i dont know about if ppl said it like this like a few hundred yrs ago but nowadays not anymore. These 3 islands are called NETHERLANDS ANTILLES. True its a part of THE NETHERLANDS but those islands are NOT called the netherlands.

And our language is DUTCH, i am dutch, im a dutch person. <-- just to show in what sentence u use it.
