Basically, all points are true. I live in San Pedro, very quiet and private. After a year and a half, I'm kinda bored of Costa Rica. I mean it's OK, average ppl are nice, life is pretty decent. If one knows how to keep his ass out of trouble, it's a peaceful place. Don't get involved too much with locals, especially those met when partying at night, because you can get easily robbed or worse. Guns are pretty much everywhere and the latino blood flows quicker than it should be, especially when women are involved. I mean, stay away from local's girlfriends. Anyway, for my taste is a small place, very interesting, but with clear limitations. I'm kinda been there, done that, time to fly away.
