Piracy ... always makes a good topic

Do you think stealing software and downloading mp3's is okay?

    I download mp3's at times
i used to download software but I now have legit copys of everything I own

the mp3's that I have ( like 30 or so ) i own every album.

but i did download the song before i bought the album

The majority of my Mp3s cannot even be found on CDs anymore.
I see very little wrong with it tbh.

If you use it ocasionally then I think it's fine. If you use it for work, then I think you should pay for a copy.

w/o piracy MS wouldnt be as big as they're now in my opinion

it is basicaly a marketing expence. companies and artists still try to reach as muny people as possible. when your stuff is being pirited you have reached some level of success. more people use your stuff and talk about it and some will buy you product and/or support.

i have seen some specialized software which made very hard to steal, if micrsoft wanted, i believe they could have prevended piricy of their products long ago.

same with music, someone may download free mp3s introduce the downloaded music to friends and someone will buy it, i see this happening all the time.
plus for the music lovers who go after quality of a sound, 128kbs mp3s simply dont do it.

Piracy will end with Microsoft Palladium.

                    Hmm

It's difficult to buy originals when you live in capital of piracy production of SEA...anyway I like Trance music, and it's pretty normal for undergroud groups to release albums long time before the original release. Not a big deal at my opinion..

If you can afford you should pay for each software you use.

                      If not, use cracked

And Microsoft will end with it. Ok, not really but if Palladium works as expected, how many people will not look at Linux and other free operating systems?
I could replace most of my programs with free alternatives, the only reason I haven't done it yet is because I have to learn how to use everything again...

Money collected from piracy goes to terrorists.
