    For those of you who knew my old roommate and good friend, here is the sentence handed down-

    For all of you out there drinking today on St Patrick's Day
    Keep in MIND DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE-

    I have lost a step sister and three good friends to drunk drivers-
    and this is what can happen to you.

    Seriously save a life, take a cab.

              After reading that I would have thrown the drunk drivers solicitor in prison as well for the constant referral to the incident as 'an accident'.

                  Ruslan/Bruce was my best friend and business partner. I grew up with him in Cleveland. We both moved to San Diego, and then we lived in AZ together. After his passing, I adopted his dog Indy and still have her to this day. She keeps Bruce alive for me. I can truly say I see Bruce when I look at her.

                  I watched his killer get off yesterday getting only 16 years in jail after he killed 3 people. I am truly disgusted with the judicial system. I saw him on TV yesterday on the news as the sentence was handed out. He didn't even care about anything. He has an evil look in his eyes and treated the victims families with total disrespect. Ruslan and both girls have no life now and their families will forever have to deal with their loss. David McKinney however will get out of jail in his late 30s and still be able to live a long life. I do not think this is fair.

                  I, along with some other friends, will be waiting for him to get out of jail .. mark my words.

                      Not saying the urge to murder the fucker shouldnt be there, but that much hate can not be good. Sorry for the loss of yer friend though real sad.

                      I will be kickin at home tonight with a bottle, I know better then to hit the streets of LA on St Patricks Day.

                          I'm totally disgusted by this killers lack of respect and remorse.

                          Bruce was one of my best friends. To see a great guy just disappear from this earth like that because of some asshole driving drunk well over 100 miles an hour sickens me.

                          When Adam told me he was watching the news and saw how cold this guy looked it makes things even worse. It doesn't bring Bruce back, but it would have been a little nicer to know that this guy felt major pain and suffering for the crime he committed.

                          For those that didn't get a chance to know Bruce, he was a gentle tough guy. He could kick almost anyones ass if he wanted, but chose to be a super chilled out sweet guy. But when he was a little younger, he was one fo the toughest guys ever. It sucks to see a fighter not even have a chance to fight for his life.

                                      Thanks for the kind words bro. Where I come from, people pay for their actions. Let's hope over the next 16 years, I can turn my hate into peace. As for right now, he should feel lucky to be in jail and not within reeach.

                                                          THREE CONCURRENT 16 YEAR SENTENCES?

                                                          That's stupid. What a joke. Each person's life, then, is worth 5.333 years? That should have been at the very least three consecutive 16 year sentences. That must have been leniency in the judicial system.

                                                          When he gets out, he's going to do it again. This time, he's going to be more dangerous. Someone who is that disrespectful and angry going in will only be consumed by their anger and their stupidity will ultimately cause them to repeat the behavior that put them in there in the first place.

                                                          When I'm out, I call in EACH AND EVERY DRUNK DRIVER I SEE ON THE ROAD. I have a set of tests that I perform while on the road to determine if the driver is just incompetent (which can be as bad as driving while intoxicated) or if the person is indeed drunk.

                                                          I have kids. I need the idiots to be off the road. I want to be with my children for as long as I possibly can. It would just save everyone the trouble now that if you're going to drive drunk, then just find a gun and pull the trigger while it's in your mouth. At least there will only be your blood to clean up, and not anyone else's.

                                                                      Sounds terrible. 16 years is about in line for the laws on the books. No ammount of time can ever repay the loss of a life.

                                                                      For those of you that are friends of the deceased, don't even think about seeing this man to do damage when he gets out of jail. Ask yourself if your friend would have wanted you to be sitting in Jail. You have friends, families and loved ones too. It isn't worth it.

                                                                          It's not about "a life for a life". Those who would kill to show that killing people is wrong are just stupid. I completely agree that the little shitbag will screw up on his own. I just hope he takes himself out instead of someone else next time. But, statistically, drunk drivers survive crashes better.

                                                                          If I killed someone, then I could not live with the guilt of knowing that someone died as a direct result of my own stupidity.

                                                                                  I had a good friend killed a couple years back by a ignorant and stupid
                                                                                  young driver.

                                                                                  My friend died riding his Motorcycle and the driver who caused the collision got nothing more then 6 months.

                                                                                  Sometimes we need to find justice other ways.

                                                                                  Great News on 3 Concurrent 16 year sentences, atleast that was a victory.

                                                                                      Yup. Getting caught driving drunk is not the worst thing that can happen. Killing somebody is. You won't catch me driving around drunk and I doubt I could take it either if I killed somebody. It's such a shame people lose their lives because other people are reckless.

                                                                                                  Our society's resources are already scarces, they should not be wasted on keeping scumbags like that fucker who killed 3 people and does not think he should show remorse to the victim's family

                                                                                                          my uncle got himself killed driving drunk. met a 40 year old oak tree going 70 mph on a road designated as 35 mph, middle of the woods, in P.A. didn't find him till morning. my grandparents (their son) would lecture him and tell him to stop being an idiot all the time. he never listened. thank god he didnt take anyone with him. i stopped doing that shit as i got older and smarter. a 7 dollar cab ride can save your life and others. the feeling you get of indestructability when you drink is not what it seems. take a cab.

                                                                                                          glad to see that the guy got sent to jail. many times these type of arrests never produce any jail time on technicalities.

                                                                                                                  I'm just saying that the circle of violence has to stop somewhere. Somebody takes revenge on somebody for only getting 6 months, a few years later the brother of the now dead criminal feels wronged and kills his brother's killer. An unlikely scenario? Sure, but none the less a possible one.

                                                                                                                                          I'm sorry, but I just don't agree here. Sometimes when its an accident, and someone gets killed, I wouldn't think that someone should do more than what the courts have done.

                                                                                                                                          But this situation is very different for the following reasons

                                                                                                                                          1) It was NOT an accident, even the judge said that.
                                                                                                                                          2) This guy David McKinney is a piece os shit. He was already on probabtion, he lied about even doing it in the beginning. He was on the run for over a year. He showed no remorse on tv. I saw the court ruling myself and he only looked pissed off because he had to go to jail. He didn't care that he killed 3 people and ruined their family and friends life.
                                                                                                                                          3) He never asked the families for forgiveness.
                                                                                                                                          4) He never admitted what he did untill a plea bargin was offered.

                                                                                                                                          The list goes on and on.

                                                                                                                                          You told me to ask myself if Bruce would want me to do this. I have to say YES. If I was the one that got killed, he would avenge my dealth. Thats how we and my other friends have always done things. We take care of one another like family. I know for a fact that Bruce would beat his ass for killing me. Ask KB or Darren, they both know this to be true.

                                                                                                                                          He got off easy. He killed 3 people and killed part of their families. He has nothing to offer to society. Bruce and those 2 girls did.

                                                                                                                                          Please understand that I am very sensative to this topic. I still have dreams about him all the time. He was and will be a huge part of my life. This world is a worse place since Bruce died. He made everyone and everything better.

                                                                                                                                          I lost a best friend, a partner, and a family member. Fuck McKinney for taking that and only having to spend 16 years in jail for it. This is far from over.

                                                                                                                                          Warchild - somtimes in life, there are more important things than worrying about getting in trouble for your actions. Right is right and wrong is wrong. This deal is not right .. period.

                                                                                                                                                  Ain't that the truth. Bruce WAS our muscle. The toughest russian I've met. I remeber watching him in high school when he got in fights. I sware he never lost. He went against this black belt who was older than us, and in 30 seconds, Bruce bloodied him. The black belt had to be taken away in an ambulance. This was a planned fight where Bruce got challenged, and he never would say no to a challenge. He also never started fights, only finished them.

One life has tragically ended shortly, I'm hoping you don't risk yours over this piece of dirt.

                                                                                                                                                              I understand and appreciate your points. Its just hard. I have lost family members and as much as I miss them. I miss Bruce the most. He was so much to me. We used to joke how we thought are parents hooked up and we were really brothers. I was closer to him than almost anyone. We talked about things that I've never talked to anyone else about. I do have great memories, but I should have more, and I just can't get over it.

                                                                                                                                                              If McKinney would have siad I'm sorry just once, it would have made a difference. I'm not saying I'm going to kill him, or hurt him, and so on. Who knows if I'll even be alive in 16 years. All I'm saying is that he killed 3 people and only has to go to jail for 16 years. That is totally un-exceptable. Time will tell and when that time comes in 16 years, we will see.

                                                                                                                                                                      4) He never admitted what he did untill a plea bargin was offered.

                                                                                                                                                                      You told me to ask myself if Bruce would want me to do this. I have to say YES. If I was the one that got killed, he would avenge my dealth. Thats how we and my other friends have always done things. We take care of one another like family. I know for a fact that Bruce would beat his ass for killing me. Ask KB or Darren, they both know this to be true.

He killed 3 people and killed part of their families. He has nothing to offer to society. Bruce and those 2 girls did.

                                                                                                                                                                      Please understand that I am very sensative to this topic. I still have dreams about him all the time. He was and will be a huge part of my life. This world is a worse place since Bruce died. He made everyone and everything better.

                                                                                                                                                                      I lost a best friend, a partner, and a family member. Fuck McKinney for taking that and only having to spend 16 years in jail for it. This is far from over.

                                                                                                                                                                          I agree that 16 years for 3 peoples lives isn't a fair punishment based on other crimes and those sentencing.

                                                                                                                                                                          But I also believe in my heart that bad karma evenually kicks a persons ass in the end. No doubt this guy has bad karma all over the place.

                                                                                                                                                                          If KB thinks Bruce is watching over him, then I have to believe Bruce will call his buddies over at the "Karma G_ds" and see to it this guy is on the receiving end of an ass fucking inmate nightly.

I know I'm not evil. I do to many things during my life to show that. 16 years isn't shit for taking 3 lives. Thats like 5 years per life. You really think that's fair .. .are you serious. My wounds won't heal and I will be scared forever. This huy should have gotten 40 years minimum. Why should he get out at 38 with an entire life to live? Why?
