Thanks to a "clerical error" by the Austin Police Dept (or maybe it was DPS) I have been unable to drive for nearly a month
. Incompetent fuckers. Somehow they classified my license as "suspended" and even went so far as to add the requirement that any vehicle that I am driving must be equipped with an "ignition interlock device" (breathalizer). WTF?! I haven't even gotten so much as a speeding ticket in the past 5 or 6 years!!! So when I was informed of this new development, I called DPS to clear it up and they told me that I would have to get my attorney to file some motion and then get a judge to issue a letter of release (to remove the breathalizer requirement) and then I had to pay $100 to DPS to have my license "reinstated". WTF kind of bullshit is that? I've actually had to have my parents or friends come pick me up and give me a ride if I needed to go somewhere; talk about embarrassing
. God I HATE incompetence
Oh well, at least I get my toys back now
