There was a contest from Scorescash more than a year ago, they wanted someone to design exoticstrippers.com and another site. Alot of designers did it and there were some realy nice entries, Scoescash even picked the 8 or so finalists and posted the entries, then they dissapeared, never said a word to anyone and are still, or were still, running their old ugly site. That contest was for something like $3000 I think

So I don't get pulled into the contest thing anymore....

Thats going a little far...you make it sound like 50% are scammers. Only a very small percentage pulls this shit....lots of good legit contests around here.

Ya, very true.... but time is money bro! If I spend even 20 minutes on something and I'm not being paid, thats a waste.... let alone a few hours.

Got that right. And why spend even one minute on some contest where you "MIGHT" get picked as the winner when you could be spending that time making real money and making and keeping real clients?

I learned my lesson in contests too. Last one I entered was the Jake and Allie one and thankfully it went well. It was the last I will ever enter.

Personally, and I think this probably goes for a big majority of the real designers, I don't have time for shit like this. Waste a couple hours on something creative and thoughtful only to have someone else picked or have someone run out like this guy appears to be doing?
