I was born with an appendix but it proved to be useless.
Anyway, it's a personal thing. Neither way is right or wrong... it's a choice that will likely have no negative or positive impact on anything really. So any of us fighting about it is quite rather useless.
If it's for a medical reason, then there will now be a positive impact to having it done.
