There's a blind girl who attends the college here who has been in ROTC the entire time, passing not only the survival drills but the shooting range as well. She's been blind since birth, thanks to having been given too much oxygen in her incubator.
She scares the living shit out of me - strong and determined enough to go through her ROTC training, be a mother (she has a 7 month old), but still think that the US government should pay her way for everything because she's blind.

From what I was told, her instructors clear the area, set up her target at the same distance as everyone else's, give her the weapon and get the hell out of the way.
