its not that simple and no matter what anyone thinks... you have to eat it and focus on prevention... chargebacks represent the failure of the site owner, not scamming users.

Riiiight. Or he could simply write a check for the amount. You accuse the guy of theft. You threaten legal action. You threaten to add him to a porn site blacklist. And maybe, just maybe, he'll be scared enough to pay back what he owes. For the amounts in question, it's worth the 20 minutes to type the letter and the 45 cent stamp.
If he doesn't pay it, at least there's a chance that his wife will read the letter.
