the newest 1.0.1 or whatever, every single day it hits 250kb in task manager and then fuckin hangs forever, gotta kill it manually. Tons of these complaints on the firefox forums, I mean tons. Its obviously not meOriginally posted by Doomedwhat ver you running ?Comment

Sometimes that happens to me too. When ever I feel that FF is starting to lag, I close it down and restart my session (all tabs are intact). Just download the extension that allows you to save your currnt session.Originally posted by Veterans Daythe newest 1.0.1 or whatever, every single day it hits 250kb in task manager and then fuckin hangs forever, gotta kill it manually. No. Firefox *does* crash. Often. It's buggy and you should not use it. Please.
(Firefox is successful because people don't use it in the same numbers as IE. As it becomes more popular the viruses, trojan horses, buffer overflow exploits, will become more common and we're back to square one.)Beat it. Nothing to see here.Comment

I have no problem with FF...
but I sometimes get asked to install the proper plugins (and I already have the plugins installed....this fucking bugs me...)Comment

I'm getting fed up with how firefox handles embeded movies. Dare click the volume slider and you lose your video.Comment

firefox and mozilla seem to have a problem with being left alone. It's when I leave it open and walk away, I have a hard time with it when I return. But if I close it down when I leave and open a new one when I return, I never have any problems.
Even if I use it for 14 hours straight, it's fine... it's only when I let it sit for an hour or so.Comment

Never crashed for me, and I have a pretty low-grade system.
Athlon XP 1800
XP Pro Standard
512 ddr
I often have 20+ tabs open, and 15+ programs in the task bar at any given time during a work day too. I'm lucky I guess.- David Hall

I wonder if there is a way around it without having to close down the programs.- David Hall
