I find most of them pretty boring; Tardblog was the only one I ever read that I thought was worth my time.

While reading about everything wordpress over the last few days I've ran into the spam prevention plugin over and over. I'm gonna need to check into it, and stop the moderation of comments. I can see how you could build loyality fast by letting them see their comment right away.
I changed your link description to include that phrase. I was checking your site when you said you added my RSS feed too, because I'd never seen those kind of links, and wanted to see how someone listed them. I couldn't find a link to my feed on your site. How are you suppose to list them?
I've been thinking about maybe giving away a long video or something to people if they register. Not sure what the differance is if they are registered or not, but it would be nice bragging rights. about registering members, that's definitely a good goal to have as you develop your blog. Just make sure you dont overextend yourself, manageing all those site features may take up alot of your time - spreading the quality of your blog 'thin' and the returns you see from it may not be immediate.
However, I owned a membership site at one point with over 4000 registered businesspeople and companies will sometimes pay you "per member" so it becomes a good way to quantify how much you can sell your site for. If you have the time, resources and inclination, then go for it!

Okay, I looked at your blog entry. Instead of linking to http://www.whitecheech.com/index.php...rds/trackback/ you would just use http://www.whitecheech.com/index.php...cademy-awards/ (in the text of the entry).
Now, I am unfamiliar with the script you are using, but on the 2 that I do use, on the page where you construct your entry there is usually a spot below the space that you trype your entry for you to insert trackback URLs.
If you want to set me up with a temp user/pass so I can see the admin, I can give you a more precise location.

I'll be blunt but honest -- toplists are *very* low priority for my blogs. The traffic trickle is just too tiny. There are dozens of search-engine-related or link-exchange-related things I need to do first on my blogs, before I mess with toplists. Okay, if you go here you will see your trackback from your blog entry found here - so that works, congrats.
However, in the text of your entry you linked WhiteCheech as this when it should be like this - that way when they click that link it will take them directly to the article, instead of just to the front page.

I just finished my first installation of wordpress - seemed straightforward but now its time to get into the customizing this should be fun.
