    Do you ever wonder....what if???

    I had my old boyfriend from 9th grade call me today. Really strange!!!! He found me through classmates.com. After high school he got in a car accident and was in a coma, dreamt I was there and my phone number. As soon as he came out of the coma he called me. We dated(long distance) for awhile and he asked me to marry him, I said no. It's been at least 4 or 5 years since I've talked to him, now he wants me to meet him in Chicago for a weekend. I don't really know how I feel about it, it totally caught me by surprise! Do you ever get that feeling....what if?? I was a really rebelous teenager, and both our families wanted us to get married. So, there was no way in hell! LOL! It's had me thinking of old memories all day. Has anyone had anything like this come up before????? I'd love to hear some stories, advice! Thanks!

              I don't have any interesting stories like this but sometimes you have to wonder if everything happens for a reason and the universe has a plan of its own. Go with your gut instinct... if you overanalyze you will drive yourself crazy.

                          My thoughts too! But, it's been so many years, since we've dated or even seen each other, it's kinda crazy!

                                      did he offer to fly you to chicago? if not, u can still go, don't have expectation. don't feel obligated, just go hook up and hang out. doesn't have to be heavy. but then again I don't know whole story.

                                      and yes, I flew to chicago to meet 'the man' from long ago...it could have worked out, if I wanted to move back to chicago....and have another kid, which I didn't want either, so there u go....but it was fun, had a good time, and moved on with life.

I have thought about all about the "what ifs" before though and they are interesting day dreams to have but no one can tell what could have been so its best not to spend too much time on it. Have you seen the butterflyeffect? its a good movie and it is kind of along the same lines.

                                                      I haven't seen it, but I'll be sure to rent it. I'm sorry, but you sound a little bitter or something??? I'm not a big believer in fate either, but when he remembered my number when he was in a coma...um, well, what else would you call it? And then after all these years him tracking me down again? I can't help but to think it's fate. Maybe I'm crazy! Not sure what to make of it actually
