Dan Rather is done. He was always my favorite. Sad to see him go on bottom. Peter Jennings is a douche and Tom Brokaw always seemed perfectly neutral but always seemed fake too.

Dan Rather was a great reporter, one of the few on network news not afraid to actually question Presidents.

Rather first showed his bias when Kennedy was killed.

He reported that Dallas School kids cheered when Kennedy was shot. He was trying to make the conservative texas city look like redneck fools.

It was later found out that the kids cheered when they found out that they were getting the rest of the day off from school, they hadn't been told why.

Dan Rather was told this before he aired his broadcast, he chose not to pull it.

How anyone was surprised when he was caught in the act of a felony this election cycle blows my mind.

Not my favorite at all. Glad to see him go! He used his position as a journalist to push a political agenda. Him and his ilk aren't with the energy to broadcast their message. Toss Jennings while you're at it.... A disgrace to Canada.

Dan was/is the only journalist that doesn't allow the White House spin to completely drown reality. No one else has the balls to do it. If it had to include just a bit of his personal bias so be it. I'll accept the truth with a small side of shit instead of a heaping plate of shit with a small side of truth like we get from every other news source.

I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

The thing about journalist is that they have an extreme duty to truthfulness. The public has to trust them 100%. After they lose the trust, they are really no good.

After the first time they get caught lieing, would you use their information anymore without questioning them.

he was a bit of a nutjob. but definitely to sad to see him go - news anchors are part of our lives. funny thing is that i'm old enough to remember Walter Cronkite leave and I thought he was a very old man at the time and would be dead in a few years - fucker is still going strong.
