The idea is you deliberately get the media to follow a drug-addict celeb around, getting them really well known. Then when something's on the front pages that you need to get removed, you kill off the celeb, everyone assumes it's the drugs/lifestyle and you knock whatever story you want off the front pages.

You are very right. In fact once one is looking out for this you notice it happens all the time. Especially with Israel, as soon as Israel is in trouble on the front pages getting bad publicity, a madman turns up somewhere in US or UK and goes on a mad shooting mission, this pushes the anti-Israel stories to the middle of the paperstrue dat!
