Thanks for the kind words in this thread. I'm pretty humble about my skills since I am completely self taught.
It's all about the models. Like Dune, I tend to like cute petite girls. However, I appreciate beauty in many forms and manifestations. Some women I enjoy looking at or photographing might not be considered beauties in the traditional sense, while others have traditional beauty, and some viewers dislike that.
In the end it is very subjective. I feel my role as a photographer is to try to capture both the look and the personality of the model. If the model is happy with the results, then I consider what I did a success.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

Japan has some of the best photographers in the world, not to mention lots of beautiful models (I lived in Japan for five years, although that was during my pre-photography days).
Cuty Mask Melon is good stuff, although if I am not mistaken, he just scans images out of Japanese magazines and books and then retouches the photos.
As for my work, yeah, I can be heavy handed with the Photoshop at times. Especially in my older work. I'm still learning.

Hope I didn't offend w/ my remarks, just saying those girls look too photoshopped to me
I think CMM are just scans etc, but they're still cute, regardless :D

No offence taken...I'm my own worst critic.
I love looking at the work of other people, and at beautiful models I will probably never have the opportunity to work with (I can look at pix of Sora Aoi and Ami Ayukawa all day). I wish I had the time, budget, and skills to shoot better...something to strive for.
Someone asked about image posting boards in here a few days ago, and I didn't put this one in because it's focus is Japanese AV, but this seems an appropriate thread on which to do so:
