I bought a pump siphon recently to try and do pretty much the same thing that you are doing... The problem is I can't make it work. I followed all the instructions and even tried it on my roommates car and for some reason it works on his but no one elses. I have tried almost twenty vehicles. Sometimes it seems like the hose isn't even reaching the gas tank because the end isn't even wet. I don't understand if cars have protection and is routing the hose elsewhere or what is going on... I even tried it on a couple huge semi trucks with totally full tanks of gas. I am pumping it correctly and I am keeping my thumb over the end while pumping, and I am keeping the recieving end lower then the end that I am trying to pump from...I don't know, I made it work with a couple of glasses of water but I can't explain the rest...
Answers perhaps?
