I get so many goddamn ideas each day that I know would make bank that I can't possible do them all.
I am sure you are the same. Its only natural in a business like this FULL of opportunity to have amazing ideas pop into your head. When your surfing, eating, takin' a dump. Write them down and launch as many as you can even if they are not perfect and see which ones bring in the bread.
And I dont want to risk 100% of my time on just one. I spread my time over all my different ideas. Some people can't work like that. I can. and I do. just my

If a surfer has an RSS reader installed on his pc, and he likes your blog, he can add the feed to his reader so he can read your blog from his pc without having to actually come to your site.
I have taken it to the next level by installing the RSS Equalizer which allows me to provide headlines from other blogs to mine (changes with every page refresh) thus increasing the text and activity on my blog.

I know exactly what you are saying. I think of about 10 new ideas a day and they usualy all do great, I just can't get to them all. I come up with ideas faster then I can get them implimented and I have people working for me full time.
BTW, I don't think I have agreed with anyone as much as I have with everything you have posted on GFY. If you ever need anything let me know.

Let me know how that works out for you. Hopefully he likes that song. (ie stress about every little detail of optimizing your site as much as possible - some of those questions you asked I never even heard of )
But I prefer to peel the banana (do some optimizing) and pitch it from where I am standing - then look around me for another banana (build another site).

How do you institute trackbacks into your blog? I mean is it a cut and paste thing, inserting something into a database - is it a manual process or automated? Do you surf around looking for other blogs with interesting entries that you can trackback to or do you setup to get entries from specific blogs? I see something that says URI.. what is a URI??

I mention something in one of my posts about "forcing yourself into a cubbyhole" -- when you earn 100% of your money in this business from one project/asset or stick to one line of revenue that's what you are doing.
Use the breadth of opportunities on the internet to leverage your time, efforts and ideas. Some ideas will make more $$$ than others but the lessons you learn and experience you get from all that launching of ideas/sites will help you fine-tune future ideas - and increase your income over time. And your income will be nicely diversified.
