Seriously WC... I am amazed at the people here. First time in my life I was urgently needing medical care and nobody around at that moment. A lady gets me in her car and drives to the... whatever the name of the clinic is near Multiplaza - and got treated there.

During that couple of days in hospital - everyone and their dogs came along to visit - even folks I'd only spoken to a few times.

When it comes to paying the bill.. I wanders along to the hospital office and they tell me I had already paid $800 (which I didn't - I was in no condition to even think of money). It turns out the lady who drove me to the hospital also paid them $800 towards my bill. I'd only spoken to this person a couple of times in passing - she never knew me. Anyways - got a hold of her in the end and returned her $800 and a gift.

The other thing about her is - she is not weathly - just a typical Tico, but obviously with some "values".
