I also like the ones with the "Pickaxes" I think that they are very nice but maybe a bit overpowering. Making the pickaxes a bit smaller I think would cure this.
As far as the magnifying glass thing still working? No. It's been done 1,000,000 times already on the web. Hell even windows uses it to represent "search" or "find". It is way too cliche anymore. Something fresh is in order.
