    Its Anti-America over and over again. These guys hate america and dont start these threads to have a serious political dialog.

    I have a place where that is accomplished. I just enjoy reminded these guys that they are in the minority. It kinds of kills the whole reason they circle jerk in threads like these.
    You know what? I think Rich has the right idea of things in general, he just generally gets slammed by trolls who take criticism of the system personally and gets caught up in useless points.

    I think you are much like Rich... the opposite side of the same coin. There are much bigger issues than the Republican/Democrat freak show, and I'm doing my best to help you see it. For example... earlier in this thread you asked a favor of me to Google that rediculous Denis Miller diatribe. Well I did you the favor and read it. Still not sure what your point was... sarcasm? Anyway, I asked you to do me the favor and read an article.. and I'll admit, the guy is very anti-Bush, but given the nature of it, I'm sure you'll understand why. Also, I realize that it is a lot to ask of you, since it's probably a couple hours of your day. However, I believe you'll find it worth your while, and I look forward to your comments.

      Ok, I must admit. I really dont get emotionally involved in these gfy political discussions. Its more important for me to use GFY to find info that I need for business. This is a great outlet for that, not discussing politics. I have another outlet on the internet where I seriously discuss political stuff.

      The dennis miller thing was just to be funny. I googled and posted it yesterday when someone else started the war for oil thing. The war for oil quote is very funny.

      You have to admit, their are some cooks out there, its just fun to burst some bubbles.

            I had given up debating politics here until the last couple days, not sure why... I'm quite surpised at the lack of trollish attacks... hmmm. Anyway, seriously read that article, it makes a very strong case for the true reasons for the Bush administration's actions.

              I just started, I read the summary.

              I have to tell you that I dont think I've seen this article, but it sounds very familliar to a discussion I had a while back with someone.

              I dont remember, but I think we agreed that concept is true but not practical. There were numerous ways of accomplishing the same thing the article reasons is the purpose.

                No need for that... though if you want to debate it, I'm more than willing.

                This is a great follow up, as it pertains to Iran:

                    Ok, I've read enough. This is a very eloquently written Michael Moore like production.

                    Filled with charts and graphs to name the war crimininals.

                    "It is now obvious the main rationales for the Iraq war were developed by a rather unprecedented government conspiracy perpetrated by a small number of radical neoconservatives in the OSP"

                    Thats a Michael Moore Leap.

                    Simple math:

                    If
                    A = B
                    and
                    B = C
                    Then
                    A = C

                    This article is filled with new logic

                    If
                    A = B
                    Then
                    B = C

                    The skip some steps.

                    If the facts of this article were true, wouldn't Clinton and John Kerry be involved in the conspiracy?

                    If the facts of the article are correct, Then some of their actions and quotes would put them inside the conspiracy.

                    doubtable.

                      You're right, some leftist like Michael Moore made it all up, probably a Democrat that hates America too. The US involvement in Iraq has nothing to do with oil, Iraq selling oil in Euros, or anything like that. The US is there to spread democracy with the help of God, and get all those WMDs and the guys who are terrorizing everyone.

                        That new math is how Michael Moore makes points.

                        I'll give an example from one of his movies.

                        Remember the correct argument:

                        If A = B and B = C, then A = C

                        The michael moore way

                        If A = B, then B = C

                        the example:

                        Columbine shootings happened near Denver (A)

                        The NRA was previously scheduled to meet in Denver (B)

                        Michael then connects A and C by telling the world that the NRA came to Denver to support the Columbine shooters. (C)

                        Those were two separate events until he played footage from a previous visit that happened well before the columbine shootings without letting his viewers know his "creative edit" . He also forgot to tell his viewers that the NRA cancelled every event except the vote which had to be pre-registered with the SEC and could only be changed with a months notice advance.

                        Thats just one example.

                          YOu sound sarcastic. Are you guilty of what you claimed "rich" does.

                          I guess you really didn't want to discus the facts. You just wanted to promote an article that you either read or wrote.

                          Wow, I didn't see that coming. (sarcasm)

                            I said take it with a grain of salt. The point was to show some motive to US foriegn policy beyond the usual propaganda.

                            That Moore example isn't a very good one... I don't believe that was what he was trying to do... and Heston, the feable old man that he is just made it worse when he could have just told the truth, which was perfectly noble.

                              How can you mention Michael Moore and Heston in the same sentence and the only one you find fault with is Heston.

                              I'm not defending heston, but seems like he is the lesser of the evils.

                              And yes, that was a great example of what michael moore does. That article does the same thing.

                              I notice they conveinently forgot to mention that President Clinton was convinced that we needed to get rid of sadam just as other democratic leaders who were surely aware of this article before the vote.

                              I ask again, was Clinton part of the neo conspiracy mentioned in the article?

                              That would be a neat trick. If they were that fucking good, this article wouldn't exist.

                              I know conspiracies are fun and sometimes people get to involved in them, but 99.9% of the time, they are just that. You accuse me of watching to much television. I belive your views have a little movie of the week drama written in.

                                Then there is no debate. All the cards are on the table... you believe what you've been told... Iraq is part of the war on terrorism, nobody will change that opinion. What does Clinton thinking that have to do with anything?
                                This US has systematically been aggressive to nations considered rotton apples. The thing that made Iraq a rotton apple was not Saddam. Please remember what a close ally he was at the height of his repression. No, the thing that made Iraq a target was denominating it's oil exports in Euros. Stating the fact that since the invasion it is now back in US Dollars is not 'new logic'. It is an observable fact. So is the fact that Russian, French, etc oil contracts have been thrown out. Why? They were priced in Euros. The US economy thrives because of US Dollar Hegemony in the world. Any oil priced in Dollars is in effect owned by the US. Iraq threatened US hegemony and was punished. Of couse Saddam had to go... you'd have to be insane not to think that.

                                Anyway, it's far too late now. Good night.
