It never ceases to amaze me that some people in our industry are homophobic... I am always so shocked to learn that.. I dont know why..
Anyways the scary thing about Phelps is that he teaches his children, who in turn teach their children Hate and Bigotry and it becomes like a circle... So sad that in this day and age we can't just let people live....

This social issue on the other hand has infinitely more potential global consequences. Trying to make discrimination legal against a group of people is wrong. They aren't NAMBLA, they don't commit any crime nor harm any people. They don't deserve to have other's ignorance ruin their lives. BTW their "church" consists primarily of family and in-laws. If you ever see them in person you can get a big rise out of them by bringing that up. Also, if you'll notice, the chapters/verses at the bottom of their signs if looked up usually have little or nothing to do with the sign. I followed them around to several protests around here and frustrated the hell (pun intended) out of them by throwing bible verses back. Most of them only have about a half-dozen or so that they overuse so it doesn't take much to frustrate them

I fully agree that people should speak out on issues that concern them. But the action I am seeing on the Jessica issue is not that great. People seem more concerned with insulting a fundamentalist preacher online than they are with sending a few faxes to help find a missing girl.
