Although it more than likely is just coincidence since I have seen coke blak trucks driven by whites in my area. It is not discrimination nor reverse discrimination if a company targets a given racial market and uses people of that race to consult, market, and be at the fore front of the campaign. That is just straight out targeted marketing.
Early on in the cola wars when Pepsi was by all accounts fucked due to the monopoly Coca Cola had in the armed forces, Coca Cola dominated the marketplace. Pepsi's only recourse and salvation was to go out on a limb and target their cola to the young free loving crowds and demonize Coca Cola as what their parents and grandparents drank. They only used young people, fringe style advertising with hippies and the like and a few years latter they did the unheard of. They surpassed Coca Cola in market share. Coca Cola of course who was in panic mode did the unthinkable which almost lead to suicide and changed the formula, oddly enough bringing back the old coke restored their dominate market share. Yet I digress, was Pepsi doing age discrimination or just legal targeted advertising?
