Coca Cola . . . reverse discrimination?
Many years ago, before most of you were born, Coca Cola was subjected to a boycott because they spent an inordinate amount of money supporting the NAACP and the UNCF. A search of Google indicates that this is probably still going on (the support and the boycott). I never really paid much heed to it as I don't like Coke anyway. Today I noticed something that made me wonder.
I went to the annual street fair in Hermosa Beach (very white) and they were giving away bottles of Coke Blak at a couple different booths. The girls giving it away were black.
Later on I noticed a Coke Blak truck on the freeway, again, driven by a black guy.
Is Coke using only blacks to promote this product because the name is Coke Blak, or is it just coincidence?
