OK NOW, why is it that some serial killers (like Theodor Bundy) killed using their hands or very crude weapons like logs or rocks to beat their victims to death.

Why didn't he just buy a knife or something? What is the purpose for being so "hands on" and physical? One stab with a knife could kill, while beating someone with a rock or a tire iron could take many blows and might not even kill the victim. What is with that? Why do you think he chose to do that?
