If it turns out that he is indeed trying to fuck these people over, and i would not be surprised if he is, the shit is going to hit the fan for Dave, and rightly so. I really hope he is doing something legit here, as unlikely as it may be.

What we have here is not a case of someone trying to do good.

David is a known scammer.

I cannot state all the facts I know at this point. But I can say the ones that are obvious.

4:00 yesterday morning David claims to have the hosting contract from the FBI.

Lets think about this realistically. Do a whois on charlottewebhosting.com then ping ns1.charlottewebhosting.com see the ip address? Do a whois on that ip.

It doesn't come back to Charlottewebhosting.com ... therefore charlottewebhosting.com is a reseller.

Now the upline provider is in NH. Does anybody know what bandwidth costs are in NH?

Most hosts up there are for small mainstream sites only. I can guarantee you the bandwidth costs up in that area are over $240.00 mbps. I challenge anybody to prove me wrong on this.

Now lets continue on.

He then put up a page that had clear links to his hosting company. No problem anybody who does this would naturally put a sponsored by link. However a little while later the site got real slow and people had to start using the IP. What happened here? Well I can speculate that he was burning up a server.

A little while later the site came back ... more speed more power ... but guess what ... it now has another link. The new link is to his upline provider who now sees he's in for the long haul (speculating again here maybe).

Along with that a link appears to paypal under the name of [email protected] (things that make you go hmmmm) could it be his upline provider started bitching about the costs? This would be my thought.

Now a little while later a message board appears. But it has a catch. You must register to post. (how many here can say harvesting email addresses?) Now I ask you to use good judgement here. Say your child is missing and it's getting national media attention. Would you want the message board locked down to only registered users? Or would you allow anonymous posts that could bring your child home?

Next we get MGibson (David Stodghill) here on the boards and he's claiming ... all is well ... I'm not a scammer ... and he tells us "My good friend Mark Lunsford asked me to do this" well hmmm that goes against "The FBI asked me to do this" and if you all watched the news and Larry King Marks words were this "someone has graciously put up a website to help in the search" ... Shouldn't those words be "a friend of the family has put up a website" ?

Now further on we expose the paypal link to David... within minutes it's redirected to a new account of [email protected]. Things that make you go hmmm again.

Please look at the above facts and understand why I am asking David to step up to the plate and turn the domain over to the proper authorities. People that can really help and not go in the hole with this.

I will also state this ... right now I cannot devulge all that I know is facts ... I will after this mess is cleared up. But I again urge you David to hand the domain over to the proper authorities that can do something with it. Remove all links to yourself from that page.
