                                                                  What people don't seem to realize is that Dave is going to be watched very carefully on this. He's received national attention. I seriously doubt he'll be able to cheat anyone, if that is his intent.

                                                                  And since I believe in "innocent until proven guilty" I'm going to think to myself that he's not doing this to cheat anyone. He's also not doing it out of the goodness of his heart either. He's doing it for exposure for his hosting company.

                                                                  The links aren't intrusive. I don't think anyone else outside of this board will even find those links remarkable at all.

                                                                  As I said, if Yahoo were hosting this site they'd have their link on there too and no one would complain.

                                                                              If he is planning to be honnest with the funds generated then how come he changed the paypal adress, and claimed a bank set it up (at 1am) and why would a bank use a hotmail addy? It's been proven that it still points to the same paypal account he had set up earlier which was his hosting company email..

                                                                                                                                          Dave registered the domain name with the direct intention of getting traffic to the site and hoping for click throughs to his hosting company. He came on here with the story that he was contacted by the FBI and the family to put up the site because he knows what he did was in bad faith. Do you still not get it? This known scammer who has no affiliation with the little girl or her family took the initiative to register the site.....

What's important is with all this bickering and attention (even if it is only on GFY), the guy is likely to hand over any and all donations to the family.

                                                                                                                                                      Personally, I find the donation thing may have started out as a scam and this is why: He said he didn't want to open a PP a/c with the fathers email, since his email box will get flooded, so he opened it up himself with a gmail invite - IF this is/started out as a scam, this is an absolute classic line to trick the unwary.


                                                                                                                                                      Unfortuantely, there is little direct proof that the donations actually end up with the father, unless he says so publicly. Unless someone has a better idea as to how proof for the donation pot ending up in the right hands can be proven...

                                                                                                                                                      Still, if the father endorsed the site publicly, then he must know the hoster and as such must know its content and the fact that a donation fund is there....
