Here's what I think happened and I have already told the police my thoughts.
You seen the girl went missing. In an attempt to profit from this somehow you went to godaddy and aquired the domain names... both of them. Then you built the site. Then you contacted the family and said in a cool I'm not a scammer voice "I have setup a website to help find your little girl"
The police are all over this Dave.
