Some companies are just angry and stupid. If you have 1 image or some text from something for example, why not email and invite you to push their program or work together on making money instead of start out right away with a DMCA? The program might gain some very profitable traffic and sales in the process instead of making several enemies.

I can understand where you are coming from.

That said, and there are two sides to every story, he apparently goes over board on his DMCA process. It would appear that if the host/forum tells him to go fuck himself, he turns up the volume on a personal level.

If some of what I read (from people who've been DMCA'd, or dealt with him) is actually true, it would appear he takes the DMCA a bit further than the simple removal request. I have heard of a couple companies who provide some kind of DMCA service. But reading over some of the complaints I was just curious how much is true, or being blown out of proportion.

I contacted a company who had some content I had shot up on their site. My initial email simply asked why they were using it. They returned with a rude reply and that didn't sit well with me. At that point I asked them to remove it as I was not interested in the option you suggested after their reply. They basically told me to stick it so I sent a DMCA. Their host pulled down their entire site which surprised me. It was down for awhile...Might still be for all I know.

I think there is at least one other company offering something similar. The name escapes me at the moment, but I want to say I read about it in XBIZ.

I know Clips4Sale is now using some company (I have not heard of) to protect their studios. If you have a clip store, log in and the company name is listed on one of the main nav. pages now.

We appreciate that but we do not spam, solicit, upsell or market. Our results speak for themselves. We don't take shit from anyone and fight hand over fist for our customers as if the content was our own. We don't call families or send pipe bombs through the mail though.

I was taken back by it, half asleep.. .. just logged in to 5k emails (no joke), in three days, and this was my first one to hit. In know way would we ever do that, I can assure you. Sorry for the personal attacks as it takes a bigger man to admit his mistakes. I endorse all anti-piracy companies.. the more the better. It helps the whole biz and we'll start getting rocking on affiliate sites again.
