I was not about to let a little thing like the Superbowl get in the way of my church going. This week, my spiritual journey took me [and my son] to the Santa Ynez Valley; specifically, Solvang, CA

Solvang is an authentic Danish village nestled outside of Santa Barbara. Luckily, there was no rain, although it did get pretty chilly at points. Here are a few pics.

I was in Solvang for a few years ago, and it was really nice. Cozy and nice well kept restaurants. Do not forget to buy Danish wienerbrod with choklad on.

We got a late start and he had to ride an additional 100 miles to get home; then had to be at work at 2:30 AM. There just was not time.

I will be taking goodgirl up there [probably on her next visit]. I figured we will make that a two day trip instead of a two hour trip. There is a lot to see and do there . . . including a casino and glider tours which rank right up there with the museum.
